Attended Xan's 1st b'day party @ Michelle's house this afternoon...wat a nice party and the food was so yummy...especially the curry chix and the cupcakes...i had 2 servings each...yummy :p

Upcoming Events.....

Damien's swimming has ended for the term this week and i have already signed him up for next term which will start on the 05/Jan/09....he is still in the Monday class next term....no chance to move him over to the weekend class as yet....hehhh....the coming weeks will be super hectic for me and my stomach (coz i'll be feasting like crazy)....must constantly remind myself to slow down and not to overdo it....hehehe :)

Busy Weekend

The weekend comes and goes...it's back to work tomorrow....hubby and i brought the whole family to dad's shop on saturday....we spend the whole day there....Qi loves to be the cashier there and has been asking me the question:" when are we going to ah gong's shop again? tomorrow? next week?".......mum cooked sambal fish cake and mei chai kou rou for dinner....yummy :)

Hubby went for flight this morning (London) and will be back only on Thursday :( Has been raining the whole day.....Qi and me just reached home from a day of shopping....my sis, jen, called and suggested that we go shop shop in Taka for my younger sis's wedding....so i left Damien and Yayuk at home and brought Qi along.....

We went to Wisma, Taka and Forum....everywhere was jam packed with shoppers shopping for X'mas and the traffic was horrible too partly becos of the rain...Jen managed to shop for a sexy black number...woohoo....Qi, a dress from Gap....and Damien, a pair of jeans and polo collar shirt from Polo Ralph...so smart leh....wait till i try it on for Damien....then i take pictures and post on the blog...hehehe....for myself...Nothing....i cannot find anything i like....guess i have to shop around in AMK hub one of these days....

Guess what...today, i didn't spend a single cent....everything was paid for by my darling sis....she insisted that she pay for everything....from the sumptuous lunch & dinner...drinks....clothes....petrol....and everything la....i feel so bad coz most of the stuff are for the kids....but she told me to let her pay coz i will be out of job soon.....hahahaha....my sis very nice hor :)

Papa Papa

When i reached home from work today, my hubby greeted me excitedly at the door with:" Damien knows how to call papa papa already!" Qi and Yayuk echo behind my hubby, " yes yes....he knows how to call papa papa already!" I'm so excited and i kept on asking them whether did they hear correctly or maybe it's just Damien's baby talking....Yayuk told me it's positive and mien can pronounce papa quite well...i can see my hubby face swelled with pride....

It happened in the afternoon when my hubby reached home from flight...he was in the study room when Qi ran inside and tell my hubby that mien is calling," papa papa papa papa..."....my hubby ran out to the living room and true enough, he heard him....i think my hubby sure happy until cannot sleep tonight :)

This is one of his "first time" that i missed again :(

After a long chat with Michelle and hubby, i have decided that i will resign from my work and be a full-time mum until the 2nd one comes along....only then, i will return to the workforce....as much as i love my current job and company, we feel that it's the best as too not to have any regrets in future....
I have talked to my boss on this and hopefully i can re-join the company next Sept/09....

Honestly, i am afraid to take this step as this is going to be the first time after 8 years in the workforce, to take such a long break....i asked Michelle like 10 over times how will i be able to spend my time?....how will i be able to adapt?....mentally, i have a long list of tasks waiting to be completed before i deliver bb next May...i have recited the tasks to my hubby.....and my hubby response was short, sweet and sarcastic," i hear first....will see if you can REALLY complete all the tasks..." hehehehe....he really knows me VERY well....anyway, i still must thank him for being so supportive in every decision that i made...even though sometimes i feel like wringing his neck...hehehe....once, i'm officially a full-time mum, he will convey the title " Minister of Home Affairs" to me....not bad hor....still have allowance leh....hehehe :p i'm going to feed my boy liao. Damien's Eye Lasik - 04/Dec/08

Dr. Quah recommended eye lasik for Damien...so on the 04/Dec/08, we checked Damien in (KK) for his eye lasik...Dr. Quah advised that he be hospitalised for a night just in case if there is any complications...initially, i was to be the one who was going to stay overnight with Damien as only 1 parent was allowed...but my hubby insisted that the whole family be beside Damien to give him support...so we booked a Ronald McDonald room in KK so that the whole family can stay overnight too...it is really great that KK has this Ronald McDonald room as it really means alot to have your family around during this period...

My darling boy was an angel going through this without much of a fuss and he was able to sleep thru the night...i was telling my husband the night before that mien might woke up at 5am to sing the national anthem and thus woke the whole ward up....heng...he didn't :)

He is recovering well from his lasik and is already up and about on the 2nd day...thank you dears for all your prayers....:)
