Spring Cleaning

Everyone was up at 8am this morning...CNY is just a week away...we started our spring cleaning right after breakfast...My hubby was given the task of taking care of Damien whilst Yayuk, Qiqi and myself started with the living room...then the dinning area...and finally the kitchen and storeroom...we finished arn 2pm...my ah lao said i'm like a general when issuing orders to my soldiers...hehehe...must be like that ma...coz then only able to get things done...luckily, we had tidied our bedroom last week...otherwise, we will still be at it until evening....

Really had a sense of satisfaction and joy when we sees that Qi loves her room so much...finally, me and my ah lao had transformed our guest room to a "pink room" which qi can finally call it her own...she was so happy...jumping and squealing like a piglet...i brought her to chose her own "princess" bed and i got her "princess" bedspread and curtains from Aussino...of course...everything is in pink....

i sneaked out arn 4pm for my pedicure appt...hmmmm....what a bliss when the pedicurist massage my calf....so nice.....then we brought the whole family out to meet up with my sis and her hubby for dinner at chong pang....the curry fish head was fantastic....chong pang was so crowded and really have the CNY festive mood...brought the children to buy some CNY stuff after dinner too....

Had a tiring but wonderful and satisfying day....going to sleep liao...coz tomorrow still have to wake up early to bring Qi to Berries....

Crazy Cravings

For the past few days, i have been having very eccentric cravings...

1. Clam Chowder soup - Had a cup at Long John Silver....not bad...$2.10
2. Mushroom soup - My hubby haven't bring me to Prego yet....
3. Bread w/ olive oil - weird right?
4. Tuna croissant - Had liao at Delifrance
5. Pizza - The prosperity pizza from Pizza Hut was a big letdown...hehhh..too sweet.
6. Sushi - Had it w/Qi after her Berries class last sunday
7. Chix Rice - Had a huge portion + egg at Turf City after Damien's swim class on Monday
8. Zhen Zhu Nai Chai - stole a few slips from my friends
9. Calbury's Hot Chocolate - Must have it every night before sleep
10. Wang Wang biscuit - tsk! tak!
11. Coffee - Smell already also cannot tahan....

and the list goes on and on....anyway...will eat in moderation...not very healthy right...but cannot tahan...when the cravings hit me....i will go look for it until i found it and eat it...CNY is just around the corner...i have been making trips to my store room, stealing glances at the bottles of goodies my ah lao bought for CNY...hehehehe...wait until i sink my teeth on those pineapples tarts....and just thinking of bwa gua is good enough to make me drool....ohmigod....

We have set this sat as the official day to do spring cleaning...we are in the midst of doing up the children's room...will post the the before and after photo in my next few entries...

Term 1/09 Swimming Class

Monday was Damien's 1st day back to swim school for his new semester swimming class..he was feeling so cheerful until his instructor practised the "hold your breath" underwater with him...and he was spurting and grasping for air when he came up...and then came his famous wail....what a sorry sight!...hmmm....must be the long break he had...he forgot all his lessons he learnt last term liao...hope that he will be more comfortable during his next lesson...

I must remember to get my hubby to go chong pang to buy a flowering can...it's a good tool to use to get your child accustom to water flowing down their face...

A Wife's Thoughts

Yesterday, when my hubby was giving me a long (i didn't know how long coz i dozed off liao) and relaxing massage, guilt swept over me...i felt so guilty coz he had just came back from Zurich, feeling damn shacked...on top of that, his body was still battling with jet-lag & climate change...+ he has to revise for his SEP exam...to cut the story short...he was feeling lousy & STRESSED...

But once he knew that i'm having stiff neck & shoulder, he insisted giving me a good rub down (with lotion somemore)...and he also put some time aside to bring the children down to the poolside to enjoy the breeze...what i can say that he is really a committed husband and father who loves his family very much...always doing things without complains...not like me like that...always complain...hehehe...

Ever since i had Damien, it's like an unspoken agreement between us that i will be in-charge of the children's education and character-building whilst he will take over their physical and mental well-beings...bringing the children out for excursions etc etc...it suits me fine coz i'm not a very out-door person :p

He is not perfect but I really count my blessing to have him as a husband and a father to my children...always putting us first and being such a active figure in our children's lives...Just want to say thank you dear & love you :)

Cranky Boy

My boy is super duper cranky these few days...this is because his upper teeth is popping out...i can see a huge chunk of white block plowing through his gum...ohmigod...pain pain...i think in another day or two, the teeth will pop down...and also + his buckets of saliva...aiyoooo...but heng, he did not have fever and his appetite is good...yayuk has been giving him heaps of H2O to replenish his saliva...hehehe...and i guess the "pak poh powder" helps too...

Tomorrow is his first day back to swim school...this semester will end 27/March/09...i told my hubby that no matter what...cannot let him skip his swimming lesson...coz it's really good for him...learning through play....so tomorrow, i will be bringing him as my hubby is in Zurich....

Nowadays, my boy likes to prop his body on 1 arm and use the other hand to caress his right thigh...weird :s
